Following Facebook’s recent outage, which saw Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp go down for six hours, its global audience of 2.9 billion was brought to a standstill.
For some, the unexpected break from their phones was welcomed, but for businesses and online creators who rely on these platforms, it was a stark reminder of the importance of not focusing purely on one marketing channel and being able to communicate with your audience outside of these platforms.
